4 Sections  1800+, 1400-1799, 1000-1399, Unr.-999

Sections (trophies for 1st-3rd in each section):

• Cosmic Level (1800+) - $200, $150, $100 + trophies (1st-3rd)
• Planet Level (1400-1799) - $150, $100, $50 + trophies (1st-3rd
• City Level (1000-1399) - $125, $75, $50 + trophies (1st-3rd)
• Street Level (Unrated - 999) - Trophies (1st-3rd)
• Special $50 prize for best comic book costume (i.e., cosplay!)
• Limit 80 players.  View pre-registered players here.
• May published ratings used.  Provisional ratings used if otherwise unrated.  Unrated may play up at TD discretion.

Entry Fees:

• $40 for Indy Chess members/$45 for non-members by 4/19/25 at 11:59pm
• $50 for Indy Chess members/$55 for non-members 4/20 and at door
• Join Indy Chess here  (our local club) for discounts to all events
• 1/2 point byes OK all rounds, must commit by beginning of round 3 (maximum 2)
• Players within 100 points of higher section may play up for $20 fee added 100% to prize fund of section played in (email TD intention in advance info@indychess.org; pay $20 fee at indychess.org/donate).

Schedule (G/60; +10 second increment):

• 8:45-9:15a Check-in
• 9:30a Round one
• 12:30p Round two
• 3:00p Round three
• 6:00p Round four (may start earlier if both players present)

Other:

• Tournament format: Swiss.
• USCF-rated (affects regular ratings); must be member of USCF; join USCF here.
• Bring sets and clocks.  Loaner sets provided for beginners.
• No food in playing room
• All children 12 and under must have responsible adult on-site during entirety of event.
• Skittles room with air hockey, ping pong, billiards, and more!  Additional tables/chairs in lobby for parents.  Chess library for members to check out free books.  Guest WiFi available.
• Top boards may be livestreamed.
• Fair play: No devices allowed except for USCF-approved notation devices (subject to inspection).  Phones must be turned off and face down or in bag.  On-call personnel, contact TD.
• Refunds subject to $10 processing fee. No refunds after May 1.
