September 21 Temple Terrace Open Tournament

Join us for our monthly Temple Terrace Open Tournament! All ages and levels of experience welcome.

Date and Time: Saturday, September 21, 12pm-5:30pm (registration day of begins at 11:30 am)

Location: "Temple Terrace Chess Club" on Google maps.
5035 E Busch Blvd Suite 7, Tampa, FL 33617
(Building Labeled "Ginger Health")

Rules: Two Sections: Open and Beginner's Unrated. Four-Round Swiss Tournament. Time control: G/30,d5 (30 min game with 5-sec delay)

Entry Fees: $30 for pre-registration and $40 for day of registration. Pre-registration will be open until Friday, 9/20/24 until 11PM.

Payment: We accept Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, PayPal, Cash or Check. When sending an electronic payment, please list the player's full name.

Awards:  
Open Section: 5 Cash Prizes
b/20 players; 1st - $150, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50. Top u1500- $50, Top u1000- $50.  

Unrated Section: 5 Trophies: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 1st Place K-5, 1st Place K-8. Chess Participation Medals for all participants.

Ratings: For the Open Section, players must have a USCF membership. You can obtain a yearly USCF membership here.

Chess Sets: If you have a chess set/clock please bring it. Download the Chess Clock App by chess.com. Additional clocks provided on a first-come first-serve basis. 

Food: Pizza, chips, and drinks will be available for purchase. Outside food/drinks permitted.
