Event Overview

Time Control: G/40 d5 • 4 Rd Swiss • USCF Dual Rated Quick and Regular

Sections: One Open section. The tournament may be split into multiple sections at the tournament director’s discretion if needed based on attendance and rating breakout.

Entry Fee:  $35 with pre-registration on ChessRegister.com by 7/6 9p, $40 day of the event

Walk-in Registration: 9:30 - 10a. Any entries after 10a will get a first round bye.

Rounds: R1 10:15a, Lunch Break: 11:45a, R2: 1p, R3: 2:45p, R4: 4:30p

Byes: One ½ point bye allowed must be requested prior to round 2 being paired and cannot be changed

Prizes: 

$300 total prize fund based on 25 entries

1st: $120, 2nd: $70, Top Under 1600: $60, Top Under 1200: $50

(Unrated players are not eligible for “Under” prizes)

Players are expected to bring their own chess sets, clocks, pencils/pens.

All players in rated sections must have a valid, active USCF membership to play. You can obtain or renew USCF membership with registration online or at the door.  Current Month’s Rating Supplement will be used.
