Scholastic Sunday by Indy Chess

St. Thomas Aquinas School

Event Overview

All students 18 and under are welcome to play in this monthly rated scholastic chess tournament to earn trophies, organized by Indy Chess at St. Thomas Aquinas School (4600 N Illinois Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208).  This event typically occurs the fourth Sunday of the month (with exceptions to avoid holidays, state tourneys, Indy 500, etc.).

This is a great introductory tournament for kids new to scholastic chess.  We also have a lot of regulars who come back month after month.  All are welcome, but as it is rated chess, it is good for kids to know how the pieces move already as that can't be taught during games.

  • Check-in for event is 12:20-12:40pm.  Anyone arriving after 12:40pm without notifying the tournament director (317-429-6952) will not be paired in round one.
