Scholastic Quads at Pingry Basking Ridge

What: Quads Tournament For K-8 players, including those playing in their first event

When: Saturday 11/4/23, 9am

Where: The Pingry School, 131 Martinsville Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920

Entry Fee: $40

Prizes: 1st place in each quads receives a trophy, 2nd place gets a medal

This is a US Chess rated quads chess tournament. Players will be placed into groups of four based on rating, unrated players participating in their first tournament will be grouped by age. Quads are non-elimination, and each player will play everyone in their group for a total of three games. At the end of the third game, the winner of each quad will receive a trophy, and the second place finisher will get a medal. 

• This event will be rated by the United States Chess Federation.
• Please arrive 15 minutes before the games start to check-in. Players who arrive after that may not be placed in quads.
• For players using chess clocks, the time control is Game/25 with a 5-second delay.
• Games will be played in the Wilf Commons, families will be asked to wait in the cafeteria.
• Free on-site Wifi will be provided.
• Please register early. Price increases by $10 the Tuesday before the tournament.

Chess sets are provided, bring a chess clock if you prefer.
