EVENT OVERVIEW: The Santa Paula Winter Quad

EVENT TIME: 1015 -4pm & 415pm Award ceremony

onsite registration will be 915-10am

The Santa Paula Winter Quad - will be a 3-round tournament

TIME CONTROL: G/45; d5 –

ALL GAMES USCF RATED - PLAYERS MUST BE USCF RATED MEMBERS *NOTE- WE CAN PROVIDE NEW MEMBERSHIPS ONSITE

*Players must use a score sheet and write each move down.

ROUNDS: 1 - 1015-1145am - 2 - 12pm-130pm - LUNCH BREAK - 3 - 230-4pm

A -Quad - the highest rated to lowest rated players, will be listed and broken into 4-player blocks – each player will only play in their Quad.

You must ask for a bye before round 1 starts or when you register, please do not simply fail to show up.

AS WE RECEIVE REGISTRATIONS – WILL WE POST THE PLAYERS LIST @ SANTA.PAULA.CHESS.CLUB.COM IN THE TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE SECTION OF THE WEBSITE – THE LIST WILL BE UPDATED DAILY.

REGISTERATION FEE: 30$

We will offer a 5$ discount to players rated over 2000

200$ minimum prize fund based on 12 entries as we get more entries the prize will fund get larger.

*Prizes will be awarded to each Quad winner–with the higher rated quads receiving a slightly higher percentage of the prize fund - beginner level runner up to receive a Trophy.

Payment can be made the day of in cash at check in – if you need to Zelle

You must Zelle before January 17th at 10am - I must receive the text confirmation
