The Rated PG Open

Schedule: Doors open at noon. Registered players, please check in by 12:45. If space is still available, late registration will be open from 12 to 12:30. Players who register after 12:30 will receive a half-point bye in round one.

Rounds:  Round one at 1 p.m. Subsequent rounds ASAP.

Format: 4-SS, G/30;d5
Dual rated (affects both regular and quick). Published regular rating used for pairings.

Sections & prizes: U1300 & Open. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each section. Blitz tiebreaks used for first-place ties only. Mathematical tiebreaks used for all others.

Playing up: Playing up is allowed within 150 points. Register in the section you want to play in and you'll receive a link to remit the $10 play-up fee.
 

Equipment: Sets, clocks, and scoresheets are provided.

• Players rated 2000+: Enter by February 5 and pay no entry fee. Click here to show mail address.
• First-time tournament players: Purchase your US Chess membership by February 5 and pay no entry fee for your first tournament. Use this link to register.
