Quad-Cities Open (USCF and FIDE rated) IASCA Iowa Grand Prix Qualifier 5-SS, G/90, i30. Western Illinois University Quad-City Campus,(1 mile east of I-74) 3300 River Dr., Moline, IL (Riverfront Hall, Rooms 104-105.

Three sections
1.  Open (Iowa Grand Prix qualifier/ USCF and FIDE rated): USCF and IASCA membership required.  IASCA membership $10 available on-site. Other states accepted.  5 round Swiss. Rds Sat: 9:30 a.m., 2 p.m. 6:30 p.m. Sun:  9:30 a.m., 2 p.m. Time: G/90 + 30 second increment.  Prizes:  1st: $250, 2nd: $175, 3rd: $125, 4th: $100. Under 1800: $50. Prizes based on 16 players, otherwise 80% guaranteed. EF: $50 before 10/ 21, $60 on site. Register online at https://www.kingregistration.com/event/quadcitychessopen2022. 2. Under 1500 Section: USCF rated, USCF membership required.  4 round Swiss. Rds 10 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 6:30 p.m., Sat. Time control: G/65 with 5 second delay.  Prizes:  1st: $100, 2nd $75, 3rd: $50, 4th: $25. Prizes based on 13 players, otherwise 80% guaranteed.  EF: $30 before 10/21, $40 at door.  Register online at  https://www.kingregistration.com/event/quadcitychessopen2022. 3. Unrated Beginner Section:  For kids just getting started in tournament play. $10 entry fee. Register at door from 9-9:30 a.m. 4 round Swiss-style tournament. Additional information: Byes: One 1/2 point bye per player. Last round bye must be requested prior to the start of the 2nd round. Byes for all other rounds a must be requested 1 hour prior to the start of the round.  Players must turn in a scoresheet for every game. NO ELECTRONIC SCORESHEETS.
