Games start at 11 after a short presentation of the rules. Please be on time.
All Ages, All Skill Levels welcome.

LOCATION
Piermont Community Center, 204 Hudson Terrace, Piermont, NY 10968
- Free Parking. Street parking is available if the main lot is full.
- Handicap accessible via side door.
- Bathrooms on location.
- Free water, coffee, and snacks. (You may also bring your own and/or some to share!)
All equipment provided.
FORMAT & TIME CONTROL
RAPID OPEN
G/15+0, 5 rounds Swiss System
Every game must open with the Halloween gambit opening:
e4 e5Nf3 Nc6Nc3 Nf6Nxe5?!
15 minute SUDDEN DEATH time control. Muwahahahah!
NOT USCF Rated
Duration ~3hrs
Game notation optional.

PRIZES
Sections: RAPID OPEN (Based on 18 players).
-Main Prizes (guaranteed w/ minimum 6 players)
1st Place: $60
2nd Place: $50
Best Under 800: $40
-Special Prizes (Limit 1 each per player, subject to total entrees and TD discretion):
"Trick or Treat" Win on the "Ouija Board": $20 but receive a 2 minute penalty for the next round.
"Sleepy Hollow" Deliver Checkmate w/ a Knight: $10
"Army of Darkness" Deliver Checkmate w/ a pawn: $10
"Last Witch Hunter" Deliver Checkmate w/ a Bishop: $10
"Exorcist" Sacrifice with forcing line leading to Checkmate: $10
"Dawn of the Dead" Promote 2 pawns in a game and go on to win: $10
"Get Out" Force a Stalemate: $10
*In the event of ties, cash prizes are split evenly. If there is a tie for first place, 1st and 2nd place prizes are combined and split evenly.
