Phoenix Saturday Action

Location:           Phoenix Chess Academy: 18440 N. 7th Street #8, Phoenix AZ 85022. 

                           Easy freeway access from AZ Loop 101, exit southbound on 7th ST (exit 26).

Format:             4 round Swiss. Time control: Game in 25 minutes with 5 sec delay. Boards, sets, and clocks will be provided. 

Registration:    Go to www.phoenixchessacademy.com . USCF membership is required. New or renewing USCF members are welcome. Renewals are

                           available at the site. Official rating will be used for Swiss pairings and prize purposes.

Entry Fee:         $25.00 by 05/10; $30 by 05/12; $35 same day.

Prizes:                Trophies for top three in each section.

Sections and Schedule:

Open, Under 1700 & Under 1200 (No playing up allowed):

Round 1- 9:00 AM, Round 2- 10:05 AM, Round 3- 11:10 AM, Round 4- 12:15 PM.

Awards Ceremony will start right after last game is over.  Half point Byes are available in all 4 rounds and (Max 2) and must be requested before round 2. Requesting a zero-point bye late in the tournament is considered the same as withdrawing.
