Petaluma Chess Club is hosting a tournament in two sections. A USCF rated section will be open to USCF members, while an unrated section will be open to all. On-site registration may be limited to available space and equipment.

Location: Petaluma Community Center (320 N McDowell Blvd, Petaluma, CA).

Entry fee: $0

Format: Quads (3 rounds)

Time control: G/30;d5  (Game in 30 minutes with a 5-second delay at each move.)

Registration and Check-in: 9:30 AM

Round 1 starts at 10:00 AM - Subsequent rounds will be on a rolling schedule. (Estimated end time is 2:00 PM)

USCF Membership: To play in a rated quad, players must have a current USCF membership. To join or renew your membership, click HERE. Unrated players will be matched in unrated quads, USCF membership is recommended to earn a rating.

What is a QUADS tournament? In a QUADS tournament, players are grouped into sets of four based on their ratings. Each player competes against the other three players in their quad, ensuring three games for everyone. This format provides balanced competition, focused matchups, and a great way to improve your skills against players of similar strength!
