Image Staff Bio Kory grew up playing chess with his father and now plays with his youngest son. Along with the competitive and intimate aspects of the game, Kory is attracted to the visual aspects of chess. He is drawn to the diverse designs of the pieces, from the simple to the intricate, as well as the variety of boards out there. Kory has an extensive history in the design industry, having worked for such publications as Entertainment Weekly, Runner's World, Sports Illustrated, and Rolling Stone. He has a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in NYC. Outside of work, Kory loves spending time with his wife, two sons and two cats (Vincent and Jules). He practices Transcendental Meditation, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai, and enjoys reading graphic novels and collecting all things pop culture. Click here to show email address
