Event Overview

4 round Swiss. Time control: Game in 40 minutes with 5 sec delay. Boards, sets, clocks and scoresheets will be provided.

Registration: Go to October Glendale Open. USCF membership is required. New or renewing USCF members are welcome. Highest rating will be used for Swiss pairings and prize purposes.

Sections: Open, Under 1700, Under 1200. Playing up allowed for $10. Sections will be combined in case a section has less than 4 players registered.

Schedule: Round 1- 1:00 PM, Round 2- 2:30 PM, Round 3- 4:00 PM, Round 4- 5:30 PM. Awards Ceremony will start right after last game is over. Half point Byes are available in all 4 rounds and (Max 2) and must be requested before round 2. Requesting a zero-point Bye late in the tournament is considered the same as withdrawing.

Prizes: Trophies for top three in U1700 & U1200 section. Open section 1st place $50 & 2nd place $35

Entry Fee: $30.00. Refund Policy: Full refund will be issued to players who withdraw at least an hour before the first round. In cases where a registered player does not show up for the tournament without prior notice, they will not be eligible for a refund.

A player will automatically forfeit the game if going in the bathroom with a cellphone.
