Celebrate National Chess Day in Soldotna, Alaska!
The Alaska Arctic Chess Club, partnering with chess players from Kenai, will be holding a United States Chess Federation rated tournament in Soldotna, Alaska on October 12th, 2024 for National Chess Day! This will be a G/25;d/5, dual rated event with no entry fee! This five round event will be held from 9Am until 5PM at the Cook Inlet Academy:

Bring a board and join us for a USCF rated tournament! We are glad to answer any questions you may have if you are new to tournaments or chess!
All players must have a USCF membership, and as a dual rated event, chess notation on scoresheets will be required. Boards for 32 players and scoresheets will be provided, extras may be needed based on the number of applicants. One half point bye is available per player if you inform the TD before the first round.
