Two Sections: Open and K-12 U900
US Chess Membership is Required. All US Chess Rules will be Followed.
Players younger than high school age (~14) must be accompanied by an adult.
Open Section
4 rounds; Swiss; G/40+10 (Clocks will be set with 40 minutes per player, and a 10 second increment that adds back after each move). Accelerated pairings may be used at tournament director discretion.

Prizes; 60% of entry fees goes to the prize fund (40% goes to the Murray State Chess Club)

1st – 40% of prize fund
2nd – 20% of prize fund
Top U1601 – 12% of prize fund
Top U1401 – 11% of prize fund
Top U1201 – 9% of prize fund
Top U1000 – 8% of prize fund

Round 1: 10:00am
Round 2: 12:30pm
Round 3: 2:30pm
Round 4: 4:30pm
K-12 U900 Section
Must be a current K-12 student AND have a USCF rating under 900 to play in this section.

Players arriving after registration will receive one half-point bye and will be paired in subsequent rounds. Half-point byes may be requested for any round during registration only (limit 1).
Boards and Pieces will be provided. Please bring clocks.
