U400,  U700,  U1000,  U1300,  OPEN

Big Trophies: 1st – 5th  Place (each section)

Current USChess Membership required for ALL players

USChess Memberships cost $20 & will be available on-site or at https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess

• Unrated players in grades 5-8 MUST play in U700 or above
• Unrated players in grades 9-12 MUST play in U1000 or above

Time Controls:  4 Rounds SS, G/45, delay 10

• One half-point bye can be requested before the pairings of Rounds 1-3.

1st Place Tie breaks: Tiebreaks will be determined by two G/3+2 games to be played at the end of the 4th round.  In the event of a tie with three or four players, a single round robin of G/3+2 will be played. In the event of a tie from the blitz games, an Armageddon match(es) of G/10 will be played at draw odds for black determined by bid.

Additional Awards:  “TOP GIRL” in each section. Four (4) “BIGGEST UPSET” awards for each round among all sections -- cannot be won by an “unrated” player.

Registration:

• Entry fee is $30 if received by 11:59 on April 30th; $40 thereafter & on-site
• Title 1 School Students – eligible for 50% discount!   Email a request for Coupon Code

• Out of State Residents welcomed to play and are eligible for all awards.
• All players must check-in by 10:00am. First round begins at 10:15am.
