Summary: USCF Rated Classical Chess at the Chicago Chess Center. One game played every Monday. Allowed up to two half-point byes. You can also register for an individual week, if you can only play one game.

Bonus Lecture at 5PM: 5 time winning Monday Open champion Sam Tugendhaft will be giving 4 consecutive weekly lectures during this tournament. participants rated 1600 and under can submit their games from September Monday Open starting Round 1 for evaluation and discussion from 5 - 6pm, every week. Only one game will be evaluated per week, but all players registered are encouraged to participate in the lecture! Submit games to [email protected]

• U1600 Section: 1599-1000
• U1000 Section: 999-0

Format:

• Five rounds (one per week) of G/90, inc/30.
• Pairings will be designed to minimize rating difference between opponents (Monrad Swiss)

Tournament Schedule: Every Monday (09/01-09/29), at 6:15 PM.

Lecture Schedule: 09/08, 09/15, 09/22 and 09/29 at 5 pm.

Registration: Free, CCC and USCF membership required. You can also register for just one week, if desired.

Medals: For 1st place per section: Trophy or free entry to one future CCC tournament. All children who score higher than 50% will receive a medal!
