Event Overview
The Midwest Regional Championships inaugural event is a collaboration between the International Academy of Chess (IAC), Wisconsin Scholastic Chess Federation (WSCF), and Chess Club at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. This tournament will include Scholastic, Collegiate, and Adult Divisions.
LOCATION: University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Student Union, 2200 E. Kenwood Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211
Format: Five round Swiss tournament. Game 30.
WSCF Divisions: K3u600, K8u1000, K12
USCF Divisions: U800, U1200, Open
Awards: Ten (10) individual trophies and five (5) team trophies per division
ENTRY FEES (includes sized t-shirt if registered by December 22):
- $35 – by December 22 at 8 a.m.
- $40 – by December 29 at 8 a.m.
- $45 – by January 5 at 8 a.m.
- $60 – onsite registration and payment
ROUND TIMES: 8:45 a.m. / 10:15 a.m. / 11:30 p.m. / 12:45 p.m. / 2:00 p.m. / Awards 3:30 p.m. (We reserve the right to turn rounds faster.)

8:00 – 9:30 a.m. – Onsite registration
If after 8:30 player joins in Round 2
No refunds for this tournament. Onsite registration payment is cash or check payable to WSCF.
HOTEL: To be determined.
FOOD: Available for purchase at Student Union or local restaurants.
PARKING: Paid parking in Union Garage or street parking around campus.
SUPERVISION: At least one designated adult supervisor must be always present during the tournament to oversee your school’s team or individual participants who are in K-8th grade.
