EVENT OVERVIEW

Five rounds, Swiss System, USCF rated.

Three sections: Open (1500+): Open to USCF rated 1500+. Reserve (U1500): Open to USCF rated between 900 and 1499. Booster (U900): Open to USCF rated under 900 and Unrated. Sections will be assigned based on players’ Regular ratings published on official USCF website (https://new.uschess.org/player-search). Sections may be combined at Tournament Director’s discretion.

Prizes: 100% of the proceeds go to the winners. Prizes are based on 40 registrations. Open: 1st $264, 2nd $168, 3rd $84. Reserve: 1st $204, 2nd $132, 3rd $60. Booster: 1st $156, 2nd $84, 3rd $48.

Time Control: G/30, increment 0, USCF dual-rated (Regular and Quick).

Schedule: Saturday, January 13, 2024, 10am start. On-site registration ends at 9:45am. All players, including pre-registrants, check in by 9:45am; call/text if going to be late. Rounds: 10:00am, 11:15am, 1:00pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm.

Byes: 1/2-point byes available. Must request before 9:45am. 0-point byes available any time for any round.

Equipment: Players are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own chess clocks.
