Saturday, November 14th, 2026, 10am – 5pm, Macon, GA 

Overview:

Rounds: 5 rounds, Swiss system. 

Sections: Sections are assigned based on players’ Regular ratings published by the US Chess Federation (USCF). All participants must be registered USCF members. Memberships can be applied for on-site. Membership costs depend on age and are separate from the registration cost of this tournament. 

    Open Section: Must be rated 1400 and above (1400+). 

    Reserve Section: Must be rated 0 to 1399 including Unrated. 

Prizes: 100% of proceeds go to winners. Prizes are based on 40 registrations. 

    Open Section:     1st $360, 2nd $240, 3rd $140. 

    Reserve Section: 1st $240, 2nd $140, 3rd $80. 

Time control: 30 minutes per game with 5 second increment per move. USCF dual-rated (Regular and Quick).

On-site registration ends at 9:45am on the day of the event. Full refunds per request prior to start of tournament. Byes: 1/2-point byes available. Must request before 9:45am. 0-point bye’s available any time for any round. 

Equipment: Please bring chess clock(s) if available. 

Schedule: Saturday, November 14th , 2026, 10am start. All players, including pre-registrants, check in by 9:45am; call/text if going to be late. Rounds: 1st round 10am, 2nd round 11:15am, (lunch break 12:30pm), 3rd round 1pm, 4th round 2:15pm, 5th round 3:30pm. 

Treat: Complementary lunch (pizza & drinks).
