Mid-Michigan Junior Chess Club K-12 Swiss

Only open to students in grades K-12 from any school district.

Format:

3 Round Swiss USCF Rated

First Round starts at 1:00 pm.

Time Control: G/25; d5

USCF Membership required. A student ID or proof of grade level will be required at sign in.

Entry Fee: Free - Monetary donations to cover tournament expenses will be appreciated but not required.

Prizes: None

Register via email at FowlervilleChess@gmail.com (preferred) or in person from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.

Equipment: Player provided regulation tournament boards and pieces are welcome.
Bring Clocks: A limited number of chess clocks will be available on site.
Notation: All players must record the moves of their game until one player has less than 5 minutes remaining on the clock. This requirement will be waved for K-3 players. Please bring your own writing utensil. 
Cell Phones: Cell phones are prohibited in the playing room.
Results: When games are complete, players should leave the position as is and both players should raise their hands to summon the TD to record the result of the game. If the TD cannot determine an agreement of the result, the game will continue.

The playing room will be to your left as you enter the library.
