Basic Information: Tournament will be four-round, Swiss-System events.  Games held at the UFM Learning Center, .  Rated by the United States Chess Federation. KCA membership required 

Round Times:

 Check in: 8:00 – 8:45 AM,

Rd1: 9 AM,

Lunch

Rd2: 12:30 PM,

Rd3: 3 PM,

Rd4: 5:30 PM. 

Players may request a single half-point bye for any round

Sections:  Open section, open to players above 1400.  U1400 section, open to those rated under 1400 on the official August USCF rating list. Scholastic section for both Open and U1400 (k-12).

Time Control: All moves must be completed in 60 minutes, with a 5-second delay per move starting from move 1.

Entry Fee:  Open and U1400:  $20 with advance registration by 8/19, $30 at the door. 

Scholastic: Free entry (will play in the Open and U1400 sections, but not eligible for prizes. Prizes will go to next person in the section)

Prize Fund: (based on 20 players in Open or U1400 non scholastic) 

Open: 1st $100  2nd $50  3rd $25

U1400: 1st $60  2nd $30  3rd $15
