Cincinnati Tornado
Monthly Tournament – Held on the Last Saturday of the Month
Players travel from Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio to play in our Cincinnati tournaments. Masters and Experts play in our tournaments and the Open Section is strong. 50-80 players enter the tournament. Players love our cash prizes, we don't reduce money in the lower sections. We have a kitchen and sell good food. The tournament is held in a beautiful church with good Skittle rooms and WIFI. Lastly, we sell chess merch & chess equipment.

4-Round Swiss Tournament
Time Control: G/45 d/5; Each player receives 45 minutes with a 5-second delay. A Tornado is a one-day tournament where you play four games. Cash Prizes and Awards are given at the end of the tournament based on your final score.

1. Open Section – Includes the Master Bounty Prize; Any player can “play up” into the Open Section
2. **NEW** Under 1601 Section – We changed this section, it used to be Under 1501
3. Under 1001 Section – Great for lower-rated players and 1st time tournament players
- Master Bounty Prize: Win your game against the #1 Master in the tournament and win $100. If you draw the Master, win $50. If the Master wins all the games, then he/she wins the $100.
- Award Winning Chili. Good Food; Hot Meals
- Chess Merch and chess equipment are available to purchase
- USCF Rated Tournament. Join/Renew USCF on-site.
- Purchase a New USCF Membership at Registration.
- 1/2 Point Bye is available; if notified before Round 2.
- Prizes Fund based on 70 players.
- We provide all the Chess Clocks & Chess Sets
Open Section: Includes the Master Bounty Prize. A true Open Section, anyone can play in the Open Section regardless of rating.

- Hang Out & Analyze; Play Casual Chess Games in the Skittles room.
