Space Coast Health Foundation
Event Overview
About the Space Coast Chess Championship:
- This a series that features a chess tournament once a month. It started pre-COVID with a large amount of participation from local schools, though when the pandemic started the tournament was discontinued for a while. Recently, we've started up again and have also introduced sections for non-scholastic players!
- While being focused on scholastic chess, there are also competitive non-scholastic sections! The "championship" refers mainly to the best performing school, which becomes crowned the champion of each tournament.
- While the championship is awarded on a per-tournament basis, in the future we may track the performances of each school over the course of the season and crown a school champion based on how they performed over the course of the season!
