Lone Star Chess Club in Partnership with Radha Krishna Temple (Allen, TX) Announces USCF-Rated Chess Tournament, a community event.
– The Lone Star Chess Club (Non-Profit), in proud partnership with the Radha Krishna Temple in Allen, TX is excited to host a USCF-rated chess tournament, a community event. Scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025, this dynamic event aims to bring together chess enthusiasts of all levels while fostering a spirit of community and growth in the game.
The tournament will feature three sections:
Open, Under 1400 (U1400), and Under 800 (U800), catering to a range of players. Each section will follow a 4-round Swiss System format with a time control of G/45;d10.
Entry fee: $20, with proceeds contributing to event costs and prizes. Participants must hold a valid USCF membership. Refunds will be available for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tournament start time.
Prizes:
- Open Section: Cash prizes for the top 3 players: $300, $200, $100.
- U1400 and U800 Sections: Trophies and medals for top performers.

Tournament Schedule:
Onsite Registration: 9:00 AM - 9:20 AM
All players must check in by 9:20 am
- Round 1: 9:30 AM
- Round 2: 11:15 AM
- Round 3: 2:15 PM
- Round 4: 4:00 PM

Parking: Parking is free and available at the temple premises. In case it is full, additional parking is available at a nearby school.
Details:
- Bring your chessboard and a clock if you have one. The club has limited supplies.
- US Chess Membership is required. Please be responsible for your membership before the event.
- Notation is required. Please bring a pen or pencil. Notation sheets will be available if needed.
