• Onsite Registration: Nov 22nd 5pm
• Refund Policy: No Refund for all cancellations & withdrawals after Nov 21st 10pm.

Tournament Information

• Tournament Format: Swiss System.
• Total Rounds: 5 double rounds (10 games in total)
• Time control: G/3+2
• Round Times: First round will stat at 6:15 pm and consecutive rounds are on a rolling schedule. Estimated end-time: 9:40 pm
• Sections: Single section
• Rating:  USCF Blitz rated
• US Chess Higher current rating of Blitz or Regular will be used for section determination and pairings. 
• Byes
  • Byes are available for players in any round if they can't participate that round but would like to stay in the tournament.
  • A maximum of two half-point byes can be requested in this tournament.
  • Round 1 through 4 byes must be requested 30 minutes before the official round times.
  • Round 5 (last round) bye must be requested before the start of Round 1, and it is irrevocable to prevent possible prize-fund manipulations.
  • Late registrations will receive a half-point bye for any missed round, up to two rounds

• $50 -- Winner takes it ALL!         
• Prize explanations are coming after the event.
• Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing prize checks.
• Per IRS regulations, anyone who receives $2000 or more in cumulative prizes during a calendar year must complete a W-9, and Lightning Square Chess will issue a 1099-MISC form for tax reporting purposes.
