Byes: one ½-pt bye available any round, declare by round 2
Onsite Registration: Friday by 6pm for Friday round; Saturday by 8am for 1st round, by 1pm for 2nd round.

Rounds: 1st rd either Fri 7pm or Sat 9am, then Sat 2pm - 7pm, Sun 9am – 2pm. Saturday morning round is FIDE-rated.
Re-entry: only in Buncombe and U12: $24 after 1st round.

Pairings: USCF ratings used –
Open and Asheville: FIDE Dutch with Baku Acceleration,
Buncombe and U12: Accelerated with cut at 1400 and 900. Class pairings possible.

Hotel: Reserve early at 828-254-3211 or 800-733-3211 and mention tournament.
Block of rooms for tournament will be released to general public on Jan 15 so availability may be limited afterward.
Blitz: Saturday morning 10am; Entry Fee: $20; Sections determined after entries; 100% of entry fees paid in prizes.
