BEAUTIFUL BEGINNING GRADES K-8 12 WEEKS SUNDAY 11:30-12:45 PM FEE: $199, 2nd-3rd Child $20 less.

Beautiful Beginning is a great way to nurture your child’s interest in the game of chess. Your child will thrive in our supportive small group setting. Students will learn the moves of the pieces, all the rules, and be able to play a legal game of chess with friends and family members. Instruction provided by Progress with Chess, a local non-profit organization which has introduced chess to thousands of local students.

FANTASTIC FOUNDATION GRADES K-8 12 WEEKS SUNDAY 11:30-12:45 PM FEE: $199, 2nd-3rd Child $20 less.

Fantastic Foundation is perfect for students who already know the basic rules and are looking to acquire the necessary skills to be successful in tournament play. Students will learn basic tacIcs, strategy, checkmates, chess notaIon, and how to use a chess clock. Classmates will engage in open play under tournament conditions.

CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE GRADES K-12 12 WEEKS SUNDAY 1:00-3:30 PM Fee: $279, 2nd-3rd Child $40 less.

Championship Challenge includes experienced tournament players or those who are ready to enter competition. Sessions will include two USCF rated tournament games, with analysis by Progress with Chess Experts and Masters, along with interactive lessons. Free one-year USCF membership included for new members or players with expired memberships! Participants will be divided into groups by USCF rating or playing strength.
