La Grange Chess Saturday Series 1

Format: 4 round Swiss System, G/35 d/5

Registration 9-10am. First round 10:15am, subsequent rounds ASAP. Anyone attempting to register after 10am will receive a half-point bye for the first round.

Entry fee $15 cash on-site. 100% of entry fees go to prize fund. Cap is 50 players. Sections to be determined on day of tournament. Prize awarded to first place in each section. This will be equal to the the total amount of entry fees collected divided by the number of sections, e.g. 50 players, 4 sections would make the prize for first place in each section $188. Minimum first place prize $100. If time and circumstance allows, a playoff will determine tiebreaks.

This event will be held in room 115, the main lecture hall on the first floor of the HSC Instructional Building (Building B) of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. From South Preston Street, enter the courtyard and turn right.
