What is a Quad?
Quad tournaments use players' ratings to rank them into groups of 4 players who play a mini-round robin. Each four-player group will play three games (player #1 vs #4 & #2 vs #3). If the last grouping is not a perfect foursome, then that group will be a 3-round mini-swiss tournament of 5 to 7 players. The format benefit is that your foursome is closest to your current rating.

SECTIONS: Players will be ordered by January Rating (Quick ratings may be used) Supplement and placed into groups of 4, also known as Quads. **************************************************************
 ROUNDS: Round 1 starts at 12:00 PM and then ASAP (R2: 1:30PM & R3: 3:30PM) for each Quad game.

Note: No Byes permitted in a round-robin event. All four quad members are expected to play the three rounds.

PRIZES: $50 for first place at each Quad (if two players tied for 1st place $25 each). Last section (small swiss) 1st $40 / 2nd $20 place
