Iowa City Block Party Blitz and Bullet Chess Tournament Saturday July 24th 2021 US Chess Rated 5 round double swiss G/5, D2, Top 10 players will then compete in a 5 round bullet double swiss G1 No Delay to determine the champion. Where:  In front of the Englert Theater, 221 E Washington St, Iowa City, IA 52240  YES WE ARE PLAYING IN THE STREET! Reg: 4:15pm to 4:45pm or email Click here to show email address in advance Rounds: 5:00pm then as soon as possible until Approx. 7:30pm then the top 10 players will start the Bullet Chess Finals Entry Fee: Free (Must be US Chess Member) Prize Info:  Trophy for first place, $10 gift cards given as raffle prizes each round during blitz portion of competition.US Chess Federation (USCF) membership required. On Site Available. Additional Info: Masks are optional.  Boards and clocks will be provided.  Bring your own clock if possible. Tents present to protect from sun and  rain.  Will be playing outside.  Failure to be present for round 1 will cause loss and withdrawal from tournament, talk to TD onsite for re-entry.
