This is a free event. DC Scholastic and Chess Girls DC events is Connecting Countries and Communities with Chess

Celebrate International Chess Day in Washington, DC at the brand new Lamond Riggs-Lillian Huff Library. International Master Adu and National Master David Bennett will conduct a Simul exhibition for students in grades K-12 and players rated under 2000. The event will host 30 players at one time turning the boards over at least once time permitting. Games start at 1pm. Players who register in advance will go first. Go to dcscholasticchess.org to register. This event is free and open to the public. This event is best suited for students who have previous experience completing a game of chess. This event is not suitable for students who are new to Chess.
