HudsonWay Immersion School K-12 Chess Championship

We are excited for our K-12 Chess Championship at Hudson Way Immersion New Jersey located at 249 Bebout Avenue in Stirling, NJ. We have 1 Novice Unrated division for players new to chess and 3 USCF Rated Sections for experienced players. We have a beautiful and spacious playing area with food for sale and a quiet waiting area for families to sit. 

• K-5 Novice Unrated: Open to K-5 Grade students who are Unrated. Students play 4 Rounds. If total round time exceeds 40 minutes, clocks will be provided with 5 minutes per player. Tiebreakers will be used if necessary. Trophies for Top 5, Medals for all other participants. 
• Challengers: K-6 U400: G25/d5, 4 Rounds. Tiebreakers will be used if necessary. Trophies for Top 5, Medals for all other participants. Open to current USCF members in grades K-6 who are <400 USCF over the board rated
• Reserve K-12 U800: G25/d5, 4 Rounds. Tiebreakers will be used if necessary. Trophies for Top 5, Medals for all other participants. Open to current USCF members in grades K-12 who are <800 USCF over the board rated
• K-12 Championship Quads: 800+: This is a section for K-12 players rated over 800. The time control is g 40 d/5. All players in this section will be placed in a Quad (grouping of 4) based on rating proximity. Perfect 3-0 quad scoreres will receive a $100 gift card. If the player does not have a perfect score, first place will be a $75 gift card. If multiple players tie for first place, the prize will be split evenly
