Note: Houston Juneteenth Open (4 days long) is for both adults and children, whereas the Houston Juneteenth Scholastic Tournament (1-day event) is only open to scholastic players.

An awards ceremony will be held immediately after all games in a section finish.  Trophies and medals to top finishing individuals in each section; ribbons to all participants.

We reserve the right to merge sections if there are too few participants in a section.

Time control: G/25;d5.

Byes: Limit two half-point byes. Byes must be committed 1 hr before Round 2

Entry fee: $45 by 04/30/25, $50 by 05/18/25, $55 by 06/15/25 and $60 on or after 06/16/25 (on-site registration closes one hour before round 1).

Please note that registration deadline is in EDT. 11:59 PM EDT (10:59 PM CDT).
 

Withdrawals requested via email before NOON on Wednesday 06/18/25 are eligible for a refund (minus a $10 processing fee). Full credit can be applied to any future tournament.

No refunds for USCF memberships after it is purchased from USCF.
