The Premier section is FIDE rated and follows FIDE pairing rules.

Premier: $1800/$1200/$800/$500/$300; U2200 (FIDE) Class prizes: $400/$200 (Total $5,200)
U2000: $1200/$800/$500/$300/$200; U1800 Class prizes: $250/$125 (Total $3,375) Unr limit $500
U1600: $800/$500/$300/$200/$100; U1400 Class prizes: $150/$75 (Total $2,125) Unr limit $300
U1200: $400/$250/$150 (Total $800) Unr limit $200

Schedule:

4 Day Schedule: 6/19 at 7 PM, 6/20 at 1 PM, 6 PM, 6/21 at 9 AM, 2 PM, 6/22 at 9 AM, 2 PM

3 Day: 6/20 at 10 AM, schedules merge starting from round 2.

The Premier section only has a 4 Day schedule.

On-site registration closes 1 hr before the start of round one (after that players may register with a half-point bye)

Byes

Up to two irrevocable half-point byes allowed. Byes must be committed 1 hr before Round 2. Afterwards, only 0-point byes are allowed.

NOTE: Players who withdraw from the tournament are not eligible for any prizes. You can request zero point byes anytime.

Minimum required USCF rating to play in the Premier section: 1900

You may play in the Premier section if your standard USCF or FIDE rating has reached 1900 after any tournament within the past calendar year. No Minimum Rating in Other Sections.

NOTE: June 2025 FIDE Ratings used in Premier section for Pairings and Prizes. Other Sections will use June 2025 US Chess Ratings for Pairings & Prizes. The organizer reserves the right to use a different rating system/conversion for any specific players or section as appropriate.   

Time Control:

4 Day Schedule: All games are G/90;+30

3 Day Schedule: Rounds 1 is G/60;d5

Forfeit Time (All Sections): 30 minutes

Entry fee:

All sections except U1200: $175 by 4/30, $195 by 05/18, $220 by 06/15, $250 on or after 06/16
U1200: $125 by 4/30, $145 by 05/18, $170 by 06/15, $200 on or after 06/16

Please note that registration deadline is in EDT. 11:59 PM EDT (10:59 PM CDT).
Free entry to GMs and IMs if committed by 4/30/25 (No money deducted from prizes).
After 4/30/25, free entry to GMs and IMs but $175 deducted from prize money.

Re-entries are permitted in all sections except Premier -- the price to re-enter is $75.

No Electronic Notation Devices are allowed in any section. Strict cell phone policy in place.

Withdrawals are subject to a 10% processing fee. Full credit can be used for any future ACA tournament.          

All sections are USCF-rated. The top section is also FIDE-rated.
