Organized by Days & Knights of Monterey County -- Hosted by CSUMB Chess Club

Otter Student Union, Rm 210, 3118 Inter-Garrison Rd, CSUMB campus, Seaside
Player registration 9:15-10am
3 Rounds, no eliminations: 10:30, 1:00, 3:30
Group portrait at 3:30pm. Awards ceremony at 5:30pm.
3 Sections: USCF-rated Champions, USCF-rated Challengers, and non-rated Club
Entrants to rated Sections must be current members of USCF (join or renew at uschess.org)
Champions Section limited to top 8 entrants (including the 1 qualifier from the April 13 Challengers Section).
Swiss System pairings. Accelerated Swiss System pairings if more than 8 players in Section.
Games timed with 30 minutes per player, plus 30s increment added with each move. (G/30;+30)
Chess sets, clocks, and official scoresheets are provided.
Players must record all moves of their games on official scoresheets or in their own scorebook.
$5 entry fee (waived for CSUMB students and K-12 students)
Additional donation toward Monterey County chess outreach is gratefully accepted.
$5 parking fee (waived for players, Lot 71 parking pass provided at tournament registration upon request)
Trophies to 1st place in each Section. Playoff blitz match in the event of ties for 1st place. Medals to runners-up in each section. Top CSUMB player and top K-12 player to be awarded premium chess.com memberships.
