June Rapid & Scholastic Tournament

Tournament will be held in the Upstairs Common Room at Publix Super Market at The Shoppes at Crossridge, 

10250 Staples Mill Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060

What:  There will be an Open section and a Scholastic section. The Scholastic will be a 3 rounds Swiss style at G/25;+5 and the Open Section (Rapid) will be a 5 rounds Swiss style at G/15;+5 

When:  Saturday, June 15, 2024
First Round for all sections is at 1:00 pm, registration ends at 12:45 pm

The TD will go over rules and pairings before the 1st round starts.

Notes:  Please bring a clock and board if possible. Touch-move is in effect. 

Prizes:  Open section: 1st Place $30 guaranteed with 4 entries in the section,
                                        with 15+ entries in the section 2nd place $20, 3rd Place $10
              Scholastic section: 1st Place trophy and medals for 2nd and 3rd.
                                

Registration:  Open $30.  Scholastic $25

Registration and check-in will be between 12:15 pm and 12:45 pm. Anyone not checked in or in line to register 15 minutes before the first round may miss the first round.  

Open Section Rounds G/15;+5 

Round 1 at 1:00 pm, Rd 2 at 1:50 pm, Rd 3 at 2:40 pm, Rd 4 at 3:30 pm, Rd 5 at 4:20 pm

Scholastic Section Rounds G/25;+5

Round 1 at 1:00 pm, Rd 2 at 2:10 pm, Rd 3 at 3:20 pm
