Henrico Chess Academy Saturday Blitz 

This is a USCF Rated Blitz Tournament

Tournaments will be in the Upstairs Common Room at the Publix at Crossridge

10250 Staples Mill Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060

What:  There will be two sections: an Open and a U1200. Both will be Swiss style with 5 rounds of 5 min, 3 sec time increments.

When:  Saturday, August 12, 3:45 pm- 6:30 pm

Players should report by 3:45 to go over the rules, and 1st round starts at 4:00 pm. Each following round will start 3 minutes after the last pair finishes. 

Where:  The upstairs common room at the Publix at Crossridge, 10250 Staples Mill Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060 

Notes:  Please bring a clock and board if possible. Touch-move is in effect. 

Prizes:  Open section: 1st Place  $50 guaranteed with 4 entrees in the section,
                                        with 15+ entrees in the section 2nd place $30, 3rd Place $20
              U1200 section: 1st Place $35 guaranteed with 4 entrees in the section,
                                          with 15+ entrees in a section 2nd place $25, 3rd Place $ 20
                          Prize money will be distributed by final rankings as decided by SwissSys.  

Registration:  $25 until August 7, then $30. Registration and check-in will be between 3:00 pm and 3:45 pm.

 
                                      Anyone that is not checked in or in line to register by 3:45 may miss the first round.
