Golden Bay Chess K-8 Championship 2026

Register for our first-ever free USCF-rated tournament! This K-8 beginner tournament has three sections: U600, 600-999, and 1000-1400. We will provide all equipment necessary (boards, pieces, clocks) and even take care of all costs (free registration!) to ensure that your child can focus on just improving and having fun! This opportunity is great for both first-time tournament players and those who are experienced. We kindly request any donations to help us reach our goal of $500 to fund this tournament!

Play-Up Policy: If the participant's rating is within 100 points for a section cut off, you may request to play up into a higher section. If other circumstances warrant a play-up (such as a high online chess rating), please put them in your registration notes and request a play-up.

Prizes: Top 1-3 of each section get custom Golden Bay Chess medals.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and we hope to see you there!
