Event Overview
4 round Swiss. Time control: Game in 40 minutes with 5 sec delay. Boards, sets, clocks and scoresheets will be provided.
Registration: Go to www.phoenixchessacademy.com. USCF membership is required. New or renewing USCF members are welcome. Highest rating will be used for Swiss pairings and prize purposes.
Sections: Open, Under 1700, Under 1200 & Under 700. No playing up allowed for Open and U1700. Players Under 700 can play in the U1200 Section. Sections will be combined in case a section has less than 4 players registered.
Schedule: Round 1- 9:00 AM, Round 2- 10:30 AM, Round 3- 12:00 PM, Round 4- 1:30 PM. Awards Ceremony will start right after last game is over. Half point Byes are available in all 4 rounds and (Max 2) and must be requested before round 2. Requesting a zero-point Bye late in the tournament is considered the same as withdrawing.

Prizes: Trophies for top three in each section.
Entry Fee: $30.00 by Wednesday; $35 by Friday; $40 same day. Refund Policy: Full refund will be issued to players who withdraw at least an hour before the first round. In cases where a registered player does not show up for the tournament without prior notice, they will not be eligible for a refund.
A player will automatically forfeit the game if going in the bathroom with a cellphone.
