Game 40 Challenge

4 Round Swiss, G/40;d5 at Phoenix Chess Academy, 18440 North 7th Street, Suite 8, Phoenix, AZ 85022

4 Sections: Open (1700 and Up), Under 1700 (1200-1699), Under 1200 (700-1199), Under 700 (100-699)

Round Times: 

Round 1- 9:00 am; Round 2- 10:30 am; Round 3- 12:00 pm; Round 4- 1:30 pm.

Not playing up is allowed in the Open, U1700 sections, except that players with a rating under 700 may play up into the U1200 section.

Awards Ceremony will start right after the last game finishes. Awards: Trophy to the top three players in each section. Entry Fee: $30 by Wednesday, $35 by Friday, $40 same day. Your current published rating will be used for pairings and prizes. Byes: Zero- or 1/2-point byes are available in all four rounds (max 2). All byes must be requested before the start of round 2. Requesting a zero point bye late in the tournament is considered the same as withdrawing. Boards, sets and clocks will be provided.
