Directions:

The Student Center is on-campus at Wayne State University (5221 Gullen Mall, Detroit, MI 48202).

There are multiple nearby parking lots that are a short walk to the Student Center & have low parking rates.

The Student Center main level has multiple places on-site to get food, drink & snacks. The first floor also has plenty of space with tables & chairs for groups.

***Tournament is in Hilberry C on the 2nd Floor.***

4 round Swiss with two Sections:

(45 min per player. Each move has a 5 second delay)

Sat 3/23:

8:30am - 9:30am: Check-In
9:45am: Welcome, Introduction, Pairings
10am: Round 1
12pm: Round 2
1:45pm: Round 3
3:30pm: Round 4
5:15-5:30pm: Results & Prizes.

***PLEASE NOTE: Event will be Adult Only (18+). We recommend the 2024 Michigan Junior Championships for any youth competitors***

50 player maximum due to room capacity. Registration closes Thurs 3/21 at 9pm EST. No on-site registration.

Prizes:

60% of entry Fees.

1st & 2nd for each section.

If a section has more than 10 players, a 3rd place will be added.

If a section has more than 20 players, a U#### prize will be added based on the average rating of the section, rounded up. (Example: Let's say the average rating in the Open is 1720. Then the section will have a U1800 prize. Or, let's say the average rating in the U1600 is 982. Then the section will have a U1000 prize).
