EVENT OVERVIEW

SATURDAY January 23rd @ 12PM EST

Frozen Bishop will be conducted online on lichess.org for adult and scholastic players of all levels. Free USCF membership provided for new or expired scholastic members.

Format: 4 Round Swiss. USCF Online Standard Rated. Does not affect over the board ratings.

Sections: 4 Sections: Open, U1800, U1200, U700. For determining sections, the higher of a player’s USCF Over the Board (OTB) Regular rating and their USCF Online Regular rating will be used.
Time Limit: G/30 with 5 second increment. Rounds: 12-1:30-2:45-4:00. U1200 & U700 paired ASAP.
Entry Fee: $30 until 11:59pm January 22nd, IM-GM free.

Schedule: Open and Under 1800 Sections: Rounds 12-1:30-2:45-4:00. Under 1200 & Under 700: Pairings created ASAP after previous round ends. Next game appears immediately. Estimated completion: Open and U1800 5PM, U1200 & U700 before 3pm.

Registration: at progresswithchess.org/frozen Registration closes at 11:59pm, January 22nd. 

Prizes (based on 50): Open: $150-$75, U2000: $75, U1800: $100-$50, U1500: $50. U1200: $80-$40, U900 $40 U700: $60-$30

Fair Play: Players must be on Zoom with side angle camera for all games to be eligible to win prizes except U1200 and U700 , face camera ok. 

Instructions will be emailed to you regarding how to access the tournament on lichess.org, login on Zoom and setup cameras.
Players using chess engine assistance will be flagged by lichess.org, reported to the USCF Ethics Committee and face disciplinary action.
