Bye:
- One 1/2 point bye’s available for any round. Must declare during registration.
- Players checking in after 5:00 pm, unless notified prior, must take a first-round bye. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Tiebreaks:
- Standard USCF Tiebreakers will be used in all sections to determine the winner. See rule 34F in the USCF’s Official Rules of Chess for tiebreak details.
- Cash prizes will be distributed per USCF cash prize rules and will not be affected by tiebreaks of any kind.
- The tie breaker procedures described below will be used to determine trophy winners.

- TD will accelerate pairings to pair players close in rating when possible
- Most recent "Live" US Chess regular ratings are used for all sections to ensure close matchups.
- All unrated players will be placed in the lower section.
