ACTIVE U.S. Chess Federation membership ID# is REQUIRED for all games

Rated sections - Open and U1000

Ratings for pairings will be based on most recent available USCF supplement.

Swiss System; Notation is not required.

5 rounds – G/15+3

Registration and check in 9 until 10 a.m. Please arrive by 10 a.m.

Rules briefing 10:15 a.m.; First Round 10:30 a.m.

Each round starts after previous round ends; pairings are posted, and players are seated and ready.  

Blitz

6 rounds – G/5+3

Blitz only players please arrive by 1 p.m. for check in;

Rules briefing 1:45 p.m.; First Round 2 p.m.

Each round starts after previous round ends; pairings are posted and players are seated and ready

Prizes

Cash Prizes will be awarded to first ($75) and second ($50) place finishes in each section

No new registrations accepted after 10 a.m., August 17 for Quick & Blitz;

No new registrations after 1:30 p.m. for Blitz only

• Byes due to inability to pair = 1.0     
• Requested byes = 0.5 (except last round; make requests before start of round)
• Tiebreaker method will be announced at event    

Important Notes

• Lunch and other meals will be available through hosting restaurant; players may order off menu (except buffet). Party packs for meal are available with advance notice by August 15. Contact tournament director for more information.
• Registered players will receive a pre-event email on Wednesday prior to tournament including important last minute details.
