FLORIDA STATE WOMEN’S CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

DATE & TIME: April 18-19, 2026, 9:30 am-6:00 pm

SECTION (FIDE Rated):  Open (includes girls in K-12)

TOURNAMENT LOCATION: Spanish River Library, 1501 Spanish River Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33431

ROUNDS: 5 rounds, game 60; d10 (60 minutes per player with a 10-second delay) 
Saturday: Round 1 at 9:30, then half-hour lunch break, then round 2, then round 3 ASAP Sunday: Round 4 at 10:00, then half-hour lunch break before round 5 


PRIZES (BASED ON 30): Open: $300, $200, $100 U1600: $60 & U1200: $40 
Trophy and titles to the female champion, top female senior and top girl K-12 scholastic player from Florida. 
Note: The top finishing K-12 participant will be the Florida State High School Girls Champion and will also represent Florida in the Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions at the US Open in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2026.

ENTRY FEE:  $40 if received by April 15; $50 if received later. Online entry closes 8:30 AM April 18. No onsite entry.

Chess sets will be provided for the games. Bring a chess clock if you have one.

USCF MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.  If the USCF website does not show you as a current member, you will not be paired.
