First Annual Orlando Chess Open

This event is hosted by the University Club of Winter Park and co-organized by the Valencia Chess Club, Florida Junior Chess Club, Orlando Chess Association, and Orlando Chess Club.

This tournament has four sections:
1) Open USCF rated ($40)
2) Open unrated ($30)
3) Scholastic USCF rated ($25)
4) Scholastic unrated ($25)

There will be a $5 early bird discount for those who sign up before July 15. There will be an awards ceremony at the end of the tournament.

Chess sets are provided, but we are requesting players to bring their chess clock if you have one.

The time control for the tournament is 25 minutes with a 5 second delay.

On-site registration will begin at 9 a.m. on the day of the tournament, and the first round will begin at 10 a.m.

There will be a $500 total prize fund (for the rated sections only).  Come vie for the prize of being the first ever ORLANDO CHAMPION!
