Tournament will be initially limited to 50 players.

 

United States Chess Federation Memberships Required for all sections - Can Be Purchased using this online registration form 

 

Open to All the players

USCF Rated.

 

Sections : U600, U1200, Championship.

In the event of low turnout , sections MAY be merged.

Format: 

3 Round Swiss, non-elimination

Round 1 starts at 11:00 AM. All others ASAP. 

All rounds G/60; D5 Second Time Delay.

 

Awards: Cash Prizes for First, Second and third place based on the Entries for each Section.

Tournament Policy : 

 

Refunds: A player can receive Tournament credits if notified in an email by 11:00pm the day before the event. Players that no-show do not receive a refund. No exceptions.

Photography: Photos will be taken of the tournament

Parents/Guardians of Minors

We welcome children to play in our tournament, but please be aware of the following:

Your child will play against adults, will be treated like an adult, and will be expected to interact like an adult. Your child will not be supervised by us. If a child is under 16 years old, a parent/guardian must remain in the building.

 

Rule Variations in Effect at the Tournament

 

1H1. Director as witness only. In an event in which most games are not watched by directors, a director may refrain from correcting all illegal moves he or she may notice but simply serve as a witness should one of the players point out the illegal move before any moves have been made.

15A. Paper scoresheet variation. The player using a paper scoresheet may first make the move, and then write it on the scoresheet, or vice versa.
