6 Round Swiss in 7 Sections, 3-day or 2-day schedules are available;

G/100 +30 for all 3-day games; for 2-day the first 3 games are G/40, d5, then the

2 and 3-day merge in round 4 and compete for the same prizes. Only the Open

Section is FIDE rated, except for the 2-day fast games. Keep cell phones off!    

3-day schedule: 10 AM & 4 PM all 3 days, Sat, Sun and Monday (MLK Jr. Day),

Except Rd 4 on Sunday is at 4:30 PM; 2-day schedule: no games on Saturday,

4 games on Sunday are at 9:30 AM, 11:30, 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM, then 2 games

Monday at 10 & 4. Two byes are available if booked at least one hour before round.

Round 6 byes are ok but must be requested before round 3 and are irrevocable.

Prizes: 1. Open $2,400/1,500/1,200/600/400/300/200; plus BU2300: $1,000/600;

Section 2 is U2100: $1,200/600/400/200; Section 3, U1900: $1,200/600/400/200;

Section 4, U1700: $1,200/600/400/200; Section 5, U1500: $1,000/600/400/200;  

Section 6, U1300: $600/300/200/100; Section 7, BU1100: $600/300/200/100. The USCF January Supplement will be used as the official ratings for pairings & prizes.

Entry Fee: $90 Early Bird Rate if paid by 11/30/22, then goes up to $100 between 12/01 and 12/23, after that it goes up to $140 on 12/24, then $150 at the door on 1/14.  Special rate of $85 for players U1300 or U1100 or unrated if playing in either of those sections, but if playing in a higher section, then the higher rates apply. Unrated players can only win book or clock prizes. Provisional players (less than 25 rated games) can only win 50% of any prize, the balance is added equally to all the remaining prizes in that section. Re-entry fee (3-day to 2-day, must be rated U2300): $75. Refunds: $15, no exceptions (for players withdrawing before play begins). GMs, IMs, WGMs and WIMs play for free, but $100 deducted from any prize winnings.
