DIG-SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY SCHOLASTIC CHESS TOURNAMENT

This is a USCF Regular and Quick Rated Tournament.

• Active USCF membership required to play.  If you’re not or your membership has expired, sign up for the membership here before registering: US Chess Membership  (Youth membership is $20)

•  

  Note: You do not need to be a DIG chess player to participate in our tournaments.

TIME:

• Sunday, March 12th
• 1-4 pm
• Arrive by 12:55 pm
• The tournament begins at 1:00 pm (and ends by 4:00 pm)

LESSON:

• Amazing opportunity to do 1 hour group lesson with National Chess Master, Mark Dedon
• 11:30-12:30 pm.

DIVISIONS:

• Open (Advanced level players)
• U-1000 (Intermediate level players)
• U-500 (Beginner level players)
• U-300 (very new to chess players)

EQUIPMENT:

• DIG will provide chess sets and clocks
• Players can bring their own
• Bring water

LOCATION:

• Linda E. Mcmahon Commons, Sacred Heart Univeristy

TIME CONTROL:

• G/25;d5  (25 min, 5 sec delay)

ROUND TIMES:

• 4 Rounds, TBD on round times

Trophies to Top 3 in each section
